What to Expect at Your Facial
New to facials? Here's what to expect at your Levitate Beauty & Skin Studio facial!
How to Prepare
Prior to your facial make sure to:
Fill out and submit your client intake form and consent form before your appointment so that we can make the most of your in-person treatment time.
Discontinue the use of chemical exfoliants and retinols for at least 3 days prior to your appointment to reduce the risk of sensitivity or irritation (this means avoiding products that contain ingredients like salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, retinol, and tretinoin).
Skip botox or fillers 2 weeks before your appointment.
Avoid waxing or laser hair removal for 3 days before and after your facial.
Be prepared to discuss any skin concerns or goals you have.
Get ready to relax!
What to Wear
Come as you are! But we recommend wearing something comfy.
At Levitate Beauty & Skin Studio we offer modern facial-bar-style facials in which you’ll remain fully clothed. We recommend wearing a top that exposes your neck (skip the turtleneck on the day of your facial) so that we can address the skin on your neck as well!
As far as makeup, our facials always begin with a thorough double cleanse so if you’re coming form work with a full face of makeup – don’t worry! We’ll take care of it for you 🙂
What Happens During My Facial
Your esthetician will cleanse your face before performing a skin analysis with a mag lamp. During the skin analysis, your esthetician will observe your skin type and skin conditions while reviewing your skincare routine, lifestyle habits, and any other information relevant to your skin!
Based on your skin’s needs and goals, we’ll create a customized treatment plan and communicate the steps of your facial, as well as any options that will give you the most noticeable results.
The remainder of your treatment might contain any combination of the following: A professional exfoliation, extractions (if needed), a relaxing facial massage, a targeted mask, and a personalized cocktail of serums for your skin type.
What Happens After My Facial
Your esthetician will end the session by reviewing your treatment and communicating any aftercare instructions.
For most people, we recommend making facials part of your monthly beauty routine – consistency is truly key for keeping up results (along with a great skincare routine in between treatments)!
For certain targeted treatments, we may recommend a series of sessions spaced 2 weeks apart for best results.
